Friendly, helpful and welcoming proprietors. Good breakfast made with good quality products and wide range of choice.
Very friendly staff, clean room, nice breakfast, by car only 10 minutes from Edinburgh.
Abercorn is a wonderful b&b, clean, comfortable and with easy access to the city (the 26 bus takes 20mins runs every 8 mins & stops outside the door). The breakfasts are worth visiting scotland for & the owner, Angie & her husband are extremely friendly & helpful.
It's one of the best hotels we've ever stayed. Everything was perfect! Angela and her family are really beautiful people. You just feel yourself like you are at house of your close friends. Edinburg is a great city and this hotel made our stay in Scotland unforgettable.
The owners, the room and the breakfast were all excellent.
Everything. Angela and her husband were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, she went out of her way to introduce us to the guest house and give us direction/hints/tips for our wander in to the city. The room was warm, comfortable, clean and cosy. Loved our stay to be fair!
The weather could have been better!!
A lovely hotel with a very warm reception from the owner. We will certainly be planing our return visit. Thanks
Everything was terrific. Angela made us feel most welcome. The food , the rooms , location were all great and we could not have asked for anything better.
Everything was great and Angela was a great host.
Stayed two nights. Abercorn is a good base for a visit to Edinburgh and would certainly use it again. It's on the bus route, buses running every 10 mins until all hours.Although on the main road - no traffic noise. Breakfast was lovely and service very good.
Most definitely the warm welcome! Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. The decor is inspiring. The rooms are generous sizes. The dining room and conservatory aren't large but feel homely. We couldn't fault the breakfast-fresh and perfectly cooked plus a reasonable continental selection. It is a short walk to the bus stop where buses are regular and cheap into Edinburgh.
I think to improve our enjoyable stay, a bath to soak in after a hard day shopping and walking around Edinburgh would have been welcome instead of just a shower cubicle.
The innkeeper is tremendous - and the facilities are very nice. Excellent guest house if the distance from downtown is not a concern. The neighborhood the hotel is in is very pleasant and interesting, and it's only a few blocks from the beach.
There is some street noise, mainly from frequent passage of buses, but nothing that was unbearable.
Abercom guest house exceeded all our expectations, our stay was fantastic. The owners are really nice people which makes your stay even better. Fantastic house, fantastic decoration, everything was absolutely perfect. I would recommend it to everybody and we will definitely going back. Thanks to Abercom Guest House for having us!!.
Very friendly host. Breakfast very well presented. Beautiful spacious clean rooms. Ideally situated to Edinburgh only a short bus ride. Angela took time to explain bus routes and places of interest that could be visited by just using the bus system which runs 24/7. Because the visit was to celebrate our wedding anniversary, We found a nice bottle of wine and a card in our room. We definitely recommend this lovely guest house.
Unfortunately the wifi does not work in all rooms. However, going outside our room we were instantly connected.
Angela and husband are great hosts- ensured that we had a great time at Edinburgh. Also helped us to travel by bus (cheaper option) rather than book a tour to see Roslyn Chapel.
Fantastic spacious room. Breakfast were delicious and plentyful. Proprieters were very helpful and friendly. Location for the city centre was fantastic. Just a short bus ride into the city centre at a very reasonable cost.
